Career Glossary
Underwriter
Livestock
Evaluates and underwrites, prices and services the production within assigned accounts and territory. Performs essential tasks required to produce and underwrite Livestock Transit, Terminal Stockyard, Auction Markets, Interior Markets and Buying Stations, Packers, Mortgage and Stolen, Feedlot and Pasture, and Mortality. Solicits business, deals with loss adjustment and prevention, and keeps current with insurance needs of the customer and local competition.

Field Representative
Livestock
Responsible for the production, underwriting, pricing, and servicing of accounts within an assigned territory. Performs tasks to produce and underwrite Livestock Transit, Terminal Stockyard, Auction Markets, Interior Markets and Buying Stations, Packers, Mortgage and Stolen, Feedlot and Pasture through travel to client locations. Supports claims in matters dealing with loss adjustment and loss prevention. Works directly with customers and agents to remain current with insurance needs and soliciting business.

Customer Service Rep
Livestock
Performs administrative and operational support activities and tasks; researches, analyzes, interprets and reconciles information; responds to customer inquiries; and searches and resolves administrative issues. Primarily via telephone.

Livestock
Responsible for handling Feedlot, Mortality and Sale of Stolen Cattle claims. Follows up with proofs of loss, sick reports, incomplete documentation on higher valued claims, and responds to agent status requests.

Operational Support
Marketing
Supports the communication and disbursement of information relating to the International Agribusiness Group. This will include communicating with clients, agents, and company personnel.
Product Development
Assess opportunity and development of product solutions whose financial performance meets product objectives and maximized financial outcomes. Develops policy and underwriting positions incorporating industry and regulatory developments and reflective of appropriate strategic and operating objectives.
Actuarial
This area provides actuarial and competitive analysis for Livestock business and will review loss experience and prepare rate proposals. Is responsible for creation and maintenance of actuarial database.
Human Resources
Supports the business goals of the local office by ensuring that all HR processes and activities are directly linked to business strategy.
Information Technology
Will install, maintain and support servers, laptops and desktop computers. Works closely with technical and non-technical users to support local computers and remote users.
Finance
Responsible for managing, directing, and controlling all financial aspects of the International Agribusiness Group. Establishes financial policies, procedure controls and reporting systems, ensuring that this is done within legal and regulatory compliance.
